Hi Nina-
    try throwing moth  balls under the house- they don't like the odor.  if 
you can find one, there are electric pest deterrents that emit sound waves at 
different frequencies according to the "pest" you are wanting to move.  got 
mine at Costco a few years ago.

for the smell in the house, try setting out flat dishes or pie pans with 
white vinegar in  them.  

i had a family living under my house a few years ago.......had a wolf hybrid 
that managed to eliminate the whole group one at a time and never got sprayed. 
she'd just sneak up behind them and grab the neck and give a good 
shake.....no mess, no pain.....she always left them by my  truck as a gift......
