Re: [RC] stallion quality ratio? - Diane TrefethenDawn Simas wrote:I wonder what whoever decided 1:100,000 studs are good enough to breed thinks about the ration of quality of the mares we breed them to. They are 50% of the DNA after all... Oh - Oh - Call on me - I know the answer to that one! You can tell if a mare is suitable for breeding if it bites, kicks, pulls back, rears over backwards or in any other way proves itself unusable as a riding horse. That's why we have the famous line, "Thank God she's a mare so I can breed her". =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
