At one time there was a winning Western horse (I
believe he was a cutting horse) that was a registered QH named "White
Trash". The story in Western Horseman was that the QH registry would not
register him because he had to much white. The Paint registry would not
register him because he did not have enough white (this was before the
registered parent rule).
Supposedly, after a lot of correspondence, and
winning a lot, the QH decided to register him if he were
gelded.
To me many horse registries make as much sense as
governments, that is not much.
