2006 Death Valley Encounter (2007 ride season) Information:  

Start basecamp:  Coming from the South on 395 follow ribbons to the
Rodeo Gounds in Red Mountain-on the right.  From the north turn left
into Rodeo Grounds at Red Mountain. Approximately 25 miles
south of Ridgecrest on Hwy
395.         

You can find directions using mapquest, mapblast, or google
earth.
                                                                                                   

Here is the proposed trail;

Day 1 is a loop ride.  All distances will finish back in camp. 
This is going to be a nice trail/day.  
Day 2 is a point to point ride.  All distances will trailer from
where they finish to the next basecamp - which will be Valley Wells (last
years day 1 start camp).  The 50 milers will finish near the
Pinnacles. 
Day 3 is a point to point ride for the 50's and will be the same as last
years day 2.  Valley Wells loop back to Valley Wells with a vet
check, then continue to Ballarat for another vet check before continuing
on to the finish in Indian Ranch for the 50's.  The LD ride will
finish at the start camp at Valley Wells. 
Day 4 the same 50 mile loop out from Indian Ranch as last years day 2 (up
the mountain).

So to summarize:  50's and LD's will move rigs on day 2 and 3. 
The LD riders will finish in the same camp on 3 day before moving so they
would only need a driver for day 2.  

Dinners are available each evening for $10.00.  New Year's
dinner/party is $25.00 and you should pre-enter so that Jackie has a
fairly accurate count for the caterer.  

The ride is the 28th through the 31st - come celebrate New Year's with
us!
