Re: [RC] Dodge Truck Question... - Chris PausMine is a 96, V-10, gas powered. So far, so good. The only transmission problem I've had is when I parked on a really steep hill with trailer. Forgot to use emergency brake. It locked in park. Undid the trailer so it wasn't pulling on transmission, truck gears moved fine. Hooked back up and went away.

Get a '99 or newer for more power (24 valve) and a better set of gear ranges in the auto transmission. My '95 had tons left in 3rd gear but the transmission wouldn't let it take advantage of it. The '96 was the one with the transmission problem. Lynne On Dec 14, 2006, at 7:23 AM, Jessica Cameron wrote: > I'm looking at a 97 3/4 ton Dodge Cummins diesel w/ an automatic > transmission.
