RE: [RC] Occupation - Brenda AikenFor more years than I care to think about I was a traveling salesman in the Natural Gas Industry. Traveling in this case was leaving on Monday and not returning until Friday night. No time nor energy to travel for training rides or much of anything else. Good money-no life! I was toying with the idea of giving my notice and reintroducing myself to my Sweetie and our fur family. One day I was on my way to WESA for a day of shopping and fun with Bobbi Richine, Jill Ader and Bronka. I was telling Jill of my plans. She asked me what date had I given my company as being my last day of work. I didn't have a date yet. She just looked at me and said then I must not have really made up my mind. Oh-MY! Thanks to Jill-it was the push I needed. For my 50th b-day I turned in my car keys, gave all my suits to Good Will as well as my suit cases. My dogs and cats still love me and my horses are enjoying daily grooming and work outs. My Sweetie is retiring this month and will join me on our farm east of Nashville, TN. I am still in the process of downsizing. And for work-I am an Independent Consultant for Arbonne International. Great products and fun, happy customers and my own schedule and the funds I need to support my hobbies. I guess the sales thing is still in the blood! Just don't make me stay in another LaQuinta or Hampton Inn. My tent and sleeping bag are just fine! And Jill-I will forever and always be thankful for that conversation!
