My one experience with hog fuel is at a paddock next to mine at the
boarding stable.  For the first couple of years it was great!!  It was
outside the stall and in high traffic area.  It held moisture but kept the
mud completely away.  I don't know how it would be in a stall.  I think
even if it was covered by shavings it would hold way to much moisture.
