A variation of the old story:

Two hikers are in Griz country.  They see one.  Immediately one stops, takes 
off his hiking boots and puts on his running shoes.  The other says, "Stupid 
Idiot! You can't outrun a Griz".  Reply, "I only need to outrun you."

I have a T shirt listing the costs of a hike in the Windriver Mountains.  It 
ends: Seeing your first Griz, free.  Outrunning your tour guide, priceless.
