[RC] girth length - Ridecamp Guest

IF you can rig it without any problems,my way is to do the opposite-a girth
short enough that the buckle and bulk is all below the fattest part of the
horse,so as to create a smooth, featureless side under your leg/stirrup
leather.(the buckle on the stirrup leather is at the stirrup, for the same
reason.) I use the common cheap neopreme girths and a flap rigging, with no
problems.About three inches of "billet" (in my case, the flap/billet unit) rides
directly on Chico's sides, and has never even rubbed the hair off. My girth is
never REALLY tight, maybe that helps prevent chafing.
