Re: [RC] Easyboot Epic Trial #2 - bsbatApril, thanks so much for your essays and photos. I wish I had also kept pics and logs of my horses progress going barefoot. We have been barefoot since July and have done several hundred non-competition miles. Your picture of Tanna's foot with the nail holes looks sooo familiar. But, now they are gone. My horse just recently went 6 weeks without a trim and he held his angles well and had little flairing. I also finally got the right size Epics and now they are not turning anymore and he is Way more comfortable. In fact, after my last 7-8 mile ride I realized the buckle had come undone and the boot was still in place. I have been lucky enough to not have to wrap his feet or legs, at all. I also read on R/C about using a rubber mallet to get them to go on easier and I will just say "Halleluja" what a difference this makes! Anyways, I just wanted to say thanks for your trial info because it really helps me to read others experiences. People like you and Karen C. are very inspiring. As far as the barefoot debate goes I will just say that being barefoot is best for my horse and myself.
