in my younger days i wouldn't even consider anything under sixteen two.  i'm five two, hundred and ten lbs.  these days my horses run from fourteen one down to thirteen two.  my favorite is the thirteen two.  before i didn't know what a horse actually fitting me was!  i'd never go back to anything over fourteen hands.

by the way my thirteen and a half hand is a trotting paso, too...they happen more than you think.
