Re: [RC] [RC] Horse size....what gives?!?! - Barbara McCrary

We have three daughters, 5'9", 5'10", and 6' tall. They all married tall men. The six-footer married a man who may be just a tiny bit shorter, but not much. My husband and I are (were) 5'9+" and 5'6 1/2" respectively. Go figure...
The daughter who is 5'10" is married to a man just over 6', and their daughter is fretting because at 17 she is only 5'5" and wants to be taller. The 13 year old grandson is 5'8" and growing like a weed, and two other granddaughters are not yet unusually tall but if they grow into their feet, they will be. Aren't genetics interesting?

Most "big gals" aren't over 5'10, which leaves "medium" 5'19 -6'1" guys
for them. So they have nice upper average height children>g< Above
5'10" gals need to scope out the men who are really obsessed with sports
and looking for a woman who will give his kid the edge. >g< I've got a
student (male) who is *maybe* 4'9" in the 11th grade....and *obsessed*
with females who aren't interested in him. Meanwhile we've got an 8th
grade female who is 6' tall, well over 200 lbs. still growing and not the
first gal the guys think of to take to prom. I keep waiting for them to
find each other...in the interest of their future children. I know I'm
not the only person who has dealt with choosing a good cross for their
animals that can't help but matchmake the same way. :-)) Personally, I
don't mind my grandkids being short...the better to ride 14.2 Arabs. :-)

hehehe, ain't that the truth.

My sons both are well over 6' tall. They each gravitate toward teeny
women.

Now if the short guys go for little gals and the big guys go for
little gals, where does that leave the rest of, um bigger gals?

I think nature longs to hit the middle ground and hates extremes.
It's
funny, in my family there are 8 people. My dad is 5'4 my mom's 5'2.
All
four girls are below 5'1, the boys are 5'3 and 5'7. So, they produced
greater height than their own one out of 6 times.
