RE: [RC] Walk through on trailer - David LeBlancKathy asked: How important is it to have a walk through door from living quarters to the horse area? It seems that the horses are only in the trailer while I'm driving. How often do you all actually use the walk through doors? We find our's very handy. We often use our first stall as storage, and go in and out the door all the time. We also have combination locks on the horse area, so we can lock up the trailer, go riding, and come back in through the horse area without having to worry about keys, or who comes back first. We also encountered a tough problem at one ride this year. The main door latch broke internally, and there was no way to open the door. The frame of the screen prevented access to the screw needed to take the lock out from the inside. I was _very_ happy to have a back door that day. When we stop while driving, I like to go back and take a look at them - this is obviously when we're not fully loaded. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
