Knowing Kari, since I do ride with her, if she says
these would be great horses for kids, then they would be great horses for
kids. Even a kid who knows nothing about horses would probably be fine if
a knowing adult can work with them. Case in point, my next door neighbor
got a free arab. The arab was 2. The kid, my junior Aaron who is now
17, didn't know much about horses. The thing he had going for him is that
he rode with me on my other horse. It has been a blast watching Aaron work
with Zoomer. They both learned along the way, my hubby and I mentored as
they went, and this fall, 2 yrs later, Aaron and Zoomer went on trail with me
along and his brother Nathan. Those 2 just did fine. If only my 18
yr old mare had manners like Zoomer!! There is a bond between those
two that can't be beat!! Jeanie
