Re: [RC] volunteering - Laney HumphreyIf you're an "official" volunteer, you should be well provided for food-wise but it never hurts to ask ride management before hand. I'd also bring stuff to drink and nibble on. You don't say where you are, but if sun is an issue, bring sun block and a hat, otherwise, bring weather proof clothing because you'll be outside all day. Oh, a folding chair for each of you would really be good to have. Be ready to be asked to help throughout the entire 12 hours of the ride but there are usually long slack periods so a small pillow and blanket can also come in handy. A camera for taking pix of interesting horses, tack or whatever might be good to have.Laney Patty P wrote: Okay, this weekend is my first time at an endurance ride. I will be volunteering on Saturday. Does anyone have any idea what I should expect? Do I pack a lunch for me and my daughter?
