Unfortunately,
not all gates are designed to be opened from horseback. Have you ever seen a
wire fence gate? It would be impossible. Even
on the ground, I have to get behind the post & use both hands to squeeze
the gate post toward me to lift the wire that’s holding it closed. Definitly not something you can do from a horse. Sopmetimes there are big ruts all around the gates, too, so
horses can’t “side” up to it.
