I wear running tights, but used to wear english
riding breeches. Some folks can ride in jeans, but I can't. Sweats, fatigue
pants. Anything with no, or a thin inside seam, that fits well, and will not
rub. I always wear long sleeve shirts. Light cotton in summer, and what ever
needed in winter. I prefer to keep my skin protected from sun, and am actually
cooler in a long sleeved shirt, than my skin having the sun beat down on it. And
I never get on my horse without a helmet. Comfortable shoes. Some I could walk
in if needed. Used to ride in good running shoes. now use Ariat Terrains. Good
sports bra. Comfort, and clothes that will not cause rubs are the
goal. Underwear is a whole 'nuther issue.... hehe Ladies will ride
in everything from none, to granny panties, to thongs. (goodness knows why on
that one in my book!) Oh, and I wear 1/2 chaps, but some find a tall pair
of socks over tights etc. work well.
Where do you live Chelsea? Maybe we can hook you up
with a mentor near you.
