[RC] Gut sounds good bad or otherwise - Sheila_Larsen

I think someone suggested this but have the vet show you where to check for
sounds and then learn what is normal for your horse. My horse sometimes
has gut sounds I can hear standing next to her. That is normal for her.
Way back when I thought I knew where to listen but the vet helped me refine
the areas and it made a difference when I was listening. Then you need to
learn what is normal for your horse at a ride where they will more than
likely slow down at least some. They should come fairly frequently and I
sound like little gurgles and sometime a big gurgle thrown in for good
measure. Go buy that stethoscope and go listen... and listen under
different scenarios. Remember you are responsible for your horse. and
keep those questions coming.

Good judgment comes from experience, and often experience comes from bad
judgment.
