"No pain, no gain", and "Hurts so good" were common themes in the 80's, and we chanted them as we crawled up stairs on hands and knees after the first couple double-days of basketball practice. Eventually it DOES become the good kind of sore, where you feel like you've done something, rather than feeling like you've been beaten by thugs with baseball bats. So, I think I've got it, from the advice you've all shared. Trot down the trail chanting the above mentioned mantras, continually pop Aleve or Advil (while expressing apologies to the liver), and have a drink or two or three at the end (though, I gotta warn ya, Midwest Region, I get a couple of vodka sours or Mike's Hard Lemonade in me and I'll be known as the ride camp's 'the girl who can't stop talking and laughing'). Kristi Life's a journey, so enjoy the ride (and try not to fall off) ____________________________________________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
