And my little Arab/mustang filly, only 13.2, has the biggest
piles in the pasture. I call them elephant piles (:>)
Sometimes I feel like I’m wasting my time & $$
doing a purge on her, but her 16 yr old mom is getting a bit colicky now (she’s
leased out) and I know it’s possible that she has intestinal damage due to
either no early parasite care (she was on the range until she was about 5-7
mos. old) or from encysted strongyles doing their damage to the intestinal
walls. So even my “easy keepers” get the purge annually.
