well - i am sure by now this
subject has been - 'beat to death'.
however - I found - Laser sheen (
half the price of "show sheen" - works , just
as well.)
I would be hesitant to ues
- a WD 40 on large area. And, Laser sheen - cheaper - diluted)
( Plus - WD 40 attracts more
dirt. I would think? as would - baby oil >?)
Spray on , massage
in a little - so , does not not drip off mane or tail; and
let sit a few minutes. 1 to 3 minutes - spray on - feed
others - and come back start ' work'.
then use a board tooth comb -
metal comb - holds up bettter - but, can use a heavy plastic
comb. l like to get them at
'dollar stores'. Big, heavy comb - that was
popular back in 70's - for long hair or
'afros'. - with handle.
Starting at bottom
and work up to keep from damaging hair. Holding above section
of hair. so does not pull - ie - hurt. Think - how
would you like your hair handled - if
long??
Once - had to
'detangle' a pony, whose owner had neglected - his
forelock and tail were a solid 'clump' of burrs ( so , sad ) .. but
after about an hour or so - over two days - one hr. each
day - he looked great! Had a long mane, to shoulder, and
tail that touched ground - and kept it; I did not
have cut any - was really thinking I would have to - as bad as burrs
were - "knitted up tight to skin' in mane, and tail a real
clump! Smuncy
At first - I really thought , I was
going have to 'cut out' burrs. Laser Sheen works
as well as Show Sheen, Cowboy Magic , and MUCH cheaper. Tested safe
for horses, - Would not Try WD 40 --- though have used
"a little" before on rag to remove numbers - after a ride. though
- - time - , and fingernail polish remover also -
will do that.( but, rinse with water afterwards) Damn, horses are
soo sensitive, S M
