So I'm curious,

those of you who finish at the back of the pack, how
fast does your horse trot? Do you canter much at all?


If your horse has a nice canter, enjoy it!  My new horse has a far 
better canter than trot. So long as he is relaxed and switching leads 
now and then, I plan to enjoy it. Desert Ballad used to canter the 
entire 100.

My first endurance horse trotted 7mph. I think he was the only ever 2 
time "Middle of the Pack" award at War Eagle...which was a really 
cool highway reflector with an engraved plate that said, "Neither 
fast nor slow,just middle of the road". :-)
