Re: [RC] question about cockle burrs - Barbara McCraryOur horses get tangles in their tails and manes...the hair just seems to twist around itself in loops. Big mess! I spray Show Sheen or a similarly slippery hair shine product on the manes and tails and wait about 5 minutes. I soak the hair, literally, with the product. Then, the hair being quite slippery, it is much easier to de-tangle the knots. I would think this would work with cockle burrs, as well. I like one of those plastic tooth brushes, and my favorite is the Oster mane brush because it is more sturdy than others I have tried. Warning...do not use these products if you are planning on using the mane for something to hold onto while climbing steep hills. It's too slippery, for at least a day, to hang onto.Barbara ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jennifer Adam" <jatatahoe1@xxxxxxxxxxx> To: <ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, November 09, 2006 6:02 AM Subject: [RC] question about cockle burrs Hi ridecamp - =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
