Re: [RC] [RC] what do I think when coming off? - Don HustonYears ago my buddy Vick and I and about 10 others from our stable, guys and gals both, were having beers at a poker ride stop and turned to see what all the ruckus was about. The horse was bucking and the lady rider was in mid air on her way to a "full frontal" as Dawn put it. The lady actually bounced back up a little before coming to rest in the dirt and Vick turns to us and says "Jeez, that's what I'd call a real mamo-slam". Well, there was no out-right laughter cause the gals were indignant, sort of like when a guy lets out a good belch, but there were a lot of grins <G> underneath our pulled down low cowboy hats. The lady was dusted off and back on her horse with a fresh beer within minutes. So...my answer to the question is...no matter if it's me or somebody else coming off, that remark always comes to mind.At 08:31 PM 11/6/2006 Monday, you wrote: About 3 1/2 weeks ago my youngster bolted and started bucking when I tried to mount. I lasted 5 or 6 bucks with my leg half over him and leaning over the pommel. I had plenty of time to think about how totally screwed I was and just knowing that it was not a matter of "if" I was going to come off, but "when and where." I hit the ground with a full frontal (going from a "C" cup to a "B" cup in the process <G>) Don Huston <donhuston@xxxxxxx> =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
