Re: [RC] bucking twh/ what you think when coming off a horse? - Keith Kibler
Jan, as you, (come on now I cant be the only one
here who very occaisionally comes off a horse? Take enough chances
with enough green colts, a butterfly suddenly convinces your green
colt it ise going to eat him, you get a spin right out of the ice capades
and there you go. Or a herd of deer pring up right in front of you, your green
horse turns into an olympic long jumper, sideways mind you and there you
go.
By latest one was just exactly
the deer one on the back of our farm. The english saddle loosens. I am now
sitting unbelievably on the side of my colt. Look I am very athletic and in good
shape for a middle age guy, but there was just no getting the saddle and
yourstruly back on top of those withers. Niki (the colt) displayed the great
suppleness I have been teaching her by promptly bend her head all the way back
to my face and gave me the look that said "why are you sitting on my
side?"
So I decided it was time to do a
"dismount"
Let's share some of those thoughts are mind's very
clearly ring out with just before we have that abrupt stop with terra
firma.
I will start.
1. That was dumb. (probably only a guy
thing)
2. I sure though I could make that. (also a
guy thing)
