Clearly there is application to riding an Arab since you never know which direction they will be going nor how fast the next nanosecond .With a gaited horse you always know they will be going straight down the trail - you just never know how fast nor if you are strong enough to keep them from accelerating to warp speed, but at least it is straight ;-) .
