Re: [RC] Tying to trailer = vanished? :) - Lynn KinskyI have read a number of posts pointing out that if you tie you have to put your horses on the opposite sides of the trailer. This revelation has been couched in terms the implication of which are that somehow the horses will be upset because they cannot see their buddies. Mine never got upset and they always had to be on opposite sides of the trailer since the trailer is only a two horse. I camp with a ladies group where most of the horses are high tied to trees (I tie to my trailer), and more than once a horse in another "camp" will be upset when its buddies go off on a ride and it is left alone, but it calms down immediately if brought over and tied to the unoccupied side of my trailer: it knows my horse is there. They nicker to each other and calmness reigns. -- Lynn Kinsky, Santa Ynez, CA http://www.silcom.com/~lkinsky/ http://www.dslextreme.com/~napha/JoyOfRiding/ http://www.dslextreme.com/~napha/HighPoint/ =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
