FW: [RC] Safe containment - Curtis, Laura (LauraCurtis)My Arab horse had to be taught not to dig. A loud, firm "QUIT" every time he started was all it took. He turned in to an excellent camper--and I always tied to my trailer. I would not allow my horse to stand tied and paw period. This is definitely, in my opinion, not a habit you want to have continue. -----Original Message----- From: ridecamp-owner@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:ridecamp-owner@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Kristi Schaaf Sent: Tuesday, October 24, 2006 11:44 AM To: ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: [RC] Safe containment At the risk of sounding judgmental (which I very rarely am), a horse that can't stand tied without digging a hole isn't ready to go camping yet, in my opinion. My gelding dug a hole 2+ feet deep, 4 feet wide and about 5 feet long. . . . ____________________ =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
