Re: [RC] nc ride - Truman Prevattoddfarm wrote:I hope all are having a great ride! This is where a chasm about the size of the Grand Canyon exist in the AERC. Some whine about "too many winners" - some feel it's just about right. The AERC is organized in five divisions - weight and junior. There are two primary endurance events 100 miles and 50 miles. The NC celebrates all those facets of our sport - as well as it should. If I am not wrong the NC format was crafted based on the input of the members. The members wanted to race in division and the members wanter both a 100 and a 50. That is exactly what we have. Who cares about how impressive the qualifications are. That's why we have the race - to see who is the best. I've seen three different NC formats in my short 17 years in this sport. There was always someone whining about the format. Today seems to be no different. I'd say we'd be a lot better off to stop whining about the NC and climb on board and supported it. Good luck to all - wish I were there.
