My boyfriend recently said to me (without prompting):

Haha!  I was way too amused.. he's definitely a keeper (kept him 2 1/2 years already).  Not a horsey guy, but loves my mare.  I've finally gotten him to a point where he'll lead her around while she grazes (basically a moving hitching post).  He was pretty intimidated by horses when we first met.
