RE: [RC] Tush cush vs. sheepskin? or Both? - Jannelle Wilde & Adam Falk
I have ridden in both and with just the
sheepskin on my new saddle. I have a somewhat boney butt and the sheepskin was
not enough. I have really enjoyed having the full length sheepskin. My new
saddle has a nice padded seat so I have taken the pad out. The pad only lasted
about a year before it was really crushed and needed to be replaced. I found
that on my new saddle where I had a good cushion built in it felt like I was
sitting on a magazine and not in the seat well.

I found a saddle that fits my horse to a tee, and is OK for me, but the
seat is a wee bit hard on those bones on the upper inner thigh that you can
never see on a skeleton <vbg>. I've been considering getting a tush
cush
AND a sheepskin cover - I'm riding in a sheepskin cover now, but the cover is
for an english saddle, and my new one is a hornless western. Any one ride
in both?
