Re: [RC] Plural of Y'all - Sky RanchTruman, I agree -- Angie is definitely correct (except for the spelling, but that's forgiveable). Y'all is *never* singular. It's always plural...! And, being a tried and true Texan forever (5th generation) even though I live in Colorado now (!)..., I agree, Texas is not part of the south. Never has been. As any true Texan will tell you, Texas is not part of *anything,* it is Texas. :-o And I am quite certain there are many true southerners who will agree -- they don't want Texas to be part of the South, either. :-) Carla Richardson Colorado ----- Original Message ----- From: "Truman Prevatt" While it pains me to agree with Angie ;-) I must on this one. In proper Southerneeze (and Texas is not in the South BTW) the plural of Y'all is Y'all. All the other misuses are simply local dialects. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
