yeah you know, the rules need to apply - and especially to those who ride
at the upper echelons of a sport. A rider at any level has an obligation to
know. The "knew or should have known" issue kicks in here. In the end, no one
has a right to ride another horse because they haven't got one ready or they
want to ride a better horse, etc. I guess in the future this rider will double
check the horse in question before taking it to a race. I would. Oh well - not
brain surgery here - just a horse race. Three months, eh? Lots of time to catch
up on one's reading:).
