How about theatrical grease paint?  If it's safe for people to wear under 
hot stage lights.....might be a bit greasy to remove......   I imagine it 
shouldn't be too hard to find a supply, either on the internet, or ask the 
theater director at the local high school.  I've helped out with a few plays 
and have seen some good "stuff."
I've also seen Kool-Aid and Jello, just water, no sugar! used on 
greys....but they kept licking it off!!!
