Re: [RC] [RC] [RC] towing engines lq trailer vs motor home gas vs diesel - Ravenwhatever you get has a strong enough suspension and enough brake power to handle a heavy horse trailer. Most rvs aren't designed as pulling vehicles hi ...how do folks get away with using rv campers to haul horse trailers? i have a friend who suggested that if i go the RV route, i should "beef up" the frame (?) and get a Banks System as well. i am "hoping" to get a new-to-me towing vehicle next year, and i would love a to find smaller RV that will do the job. the other opition is a truck and newer slide-in camper. my current rig is a 1989 Ford F350 crew cab, 460 engine, 4x4, 1962 slide-in camper and a 1998 Sundowner 3 horse bumper pull. i can't afford to buy a new-to-me truck (1995-1998) and a LQ gooseneck. <:[ any & all ideas would be most helpful!
