Re: [RC] leather vs neoprene cruppers - Barbara McCraryWe have several cruppers with more or less flexible leather loops...seam on the upper outside. Tried one on my new horse and he had an uncharacteristic bucking fit that would not stop. (He was on the end of a lunge line; I was not on him.) Finally, we got him stopped and found that he had stripped away all the skin under his tail and on either side of his anus. Poor boy. Never had that happen before, but this horse has very thin and sensitive skin.Barbara ----- Original Message ----- From: "Kristi Schaaf" <iluvdez@xxxxxxxxx> To: <ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, October 03, 2006 6:44 AM Subject: [RC] leather vs neoprene cruppers I once made the mistake of trying the 'hard' shaped < leather crupper like you see on driving horses, and < my horse made it clear that he HATED it.
