My grandson's horse Tali, who sleeps well on the Hi-tie and is an absolute dream to camp with, decided to scratch his ear with a hind foot . My daughter was saying"He sure is agile" as I was trying to sputter out the words to yell. He went down like a trussed hog and just laid there. The boys had a sheath knife and immediately cut him free (bye bye brand new Hi-tie lead). Even though he was only down for a a couple of minutes, he had the grandaddy of all rope burns. Gabe missed the next ride and lots of conditioning, but finished up the season with another first junior and junior BC (LD) on him. And, yes, we tied him back to the HI-tie at that ride, but one of us stayed with him.
