Re: [RC] [RC] QUARTER HORSE PEOPLE - HELP! - Jessica CameronI would think that an appendix quarter horse would be more suited for dressage than the foundation bred quarter horses. The foundation bred horses have more of a stocky build and are built basically for roping, cutting, and events of that nature. Where as the appendix quarter horses have thoroughbred lines as well as quarter horse. You see a lot of barrel racers and dressage riders riding appendix quarter horses because of their speed and agility, not that the foundation quarter horses are fast, but for the most part, the appendix quarter horses are more readily sought after for speed events and events where a stocky build will more than likely hinder that horses performance.Jessica in MT From: Laney Humphrey <laneyhh@xxxxxxxxxxx> To: Beth Bennett <endurance4me@xxxxxxxxxxx> CC: ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: [RC] QUARTER HORSE PEOPLE - HELP!
