RE: [RC] [RC] safety cages for ez-ride stirrups - Smith, DaveHeidi: I installed the foot cage on the stirrups of my Synergist saddle and it was definitely a hassle. You need to drill the holes thru the stirrup and then use a riveter to rivet the cage in place. I found that you run out of space to rivet the last rivets in place. The "toe-stoppers" advertised by Hillview Farms look like a much easier solution. Might cost a bit more, but by the time you buy the cage, rivet machine and rivets, probably not that big a price differential. Certainly will be much easier to install, however. -----Original Message----- From: ridecamp-owner@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:ridecamp-owner@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Debbie Kirchner Sent: Tuesday, September 26, 2006 3:39 PM To: heidi larson Cc: * * Subject: Re: [RC] [RC] safety cages for ez-ride stirrups On 9/26/06, heidi larson <ribbitttreefrog@xxxxxxxxx> wrote: Hi, I need to find someone who has the ez-ride cages. However, my problem is that the stirrups I have (EZ ride-aluminum) do not have the holes for attachment. Is there an easy way to attach? Or does anyone have a source for cages that don't use rivets? I've seen the toe stoppers on endurance.net, but wow! Very spendy! heidi Cathy at Hillview farms has them for 55 I think, not sure if you call that spendy or not.. http://www.american-flex.com/ My husband LOVES His pair... Please tell her I sent you...
