After a couple encounters, they are fine" yes! i have a little 29.5" mini mare named dixie, every once in a while i will pony her on the trails. it's funny to watch the different reaction we get from the big horses. but...then, i'm used to that, as i ride a 13.2 hand icelandic pony gelding and let me tell you, he also scares the big horses.
