Re: [RC] Trailer Question - Laney HumphreyTires are rated for weight and speed. The tires also need to match the axle on the trailer. Once upon a time I had more specific information than that but I can't find it right at the moment. I'll keep looking. To be safe, replace your tires with at least the same rating as the original tires (probably E, F or G). For more info, go to a tire place that sells to commercial truckers & school districts. In other words, find a place that sells a lot of heavy duty tires to people who really use them & demand safety.Laney SandyDSA@xxxxxxx wrote: We need to replace our trailer tires before we go anywhere else - good thing the next ride we MIGH get to is across the street!:) Who understands about the load carrying capacity? If a tire is rated to 1000# does that mean a trailer with 4 tires can carry 4000#? Stupid I know... =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
