[RC] Specialized International saddle question/stirrup straps - Skyla Stewart

Has anybody,,that rides with the Specialized International, ran the stirrup straps under the outside flap?  Any reason not to do it this way? I used to do that with a Wintec I had and really liked it that way. I did find the straps would catch on the billet buckles though, but the Specialized has the dressage fitting which wouldn't be a problem.
