Re: [RC] oleander - Barbara McCraryNo, you don't need a special license to use Garlon, as we use Garlon 4 on poison oak, thistles, and assorted brush in our pastures. The positive thing about Garlon is that it is selective for broadleaf and woody stem plants, so we can spot-spray thistles in our permanent pasture. There is no time element for removing and returning livestock in the pasture; we just leave ours in at time of spraying. The heifers seem to prefer dead or dying thistles to live ones, so they start to eat them after a couple of days. No sick or dead heifers from our regimen.Barbara ----- Original Message ----- From: "Nancy" <nancy@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: "Ridecamp@Endurance. Not sure if you need a special license to purchase it or not. I have gotten Garlon from a friend who has a bug business and hates poison oak as much as my daughter does. He, he.
