Re: [RC] [RC] cranky mare-only horse - Jennifer AdamGood point -I originally thought that Marlene should go for it if she really liked the mare...But I wasn't thinking about the difficulties of a socially inept horse... I've been lucky and always had horses that spent most of their time in large group situations, and I do think it makes communication easier. They can pick up on subtle cues and know how important it is to get along with the leader. An only horse probably isn't as sensitive to body language, may have some respect and dominance issues, and may not be as easy to teach general manners. IMHO I *still* think she may be worth a closer evaluation - but I would suggest caution as the others have pointed out. Jen
