RE: [RC] Back on Topic (was Show Ring ...) - John Teeter

I was just thinking that an interesting twist would be to have a 4 person team,
but each team member rides in a different ride; when all (4) of the rides are
over, gold, siver, bronze teams are crowned.

It's like taking the "best of" approach - all 4 could enter 20 mule team (an
early 100). the best of the 4 would take their team placing from that ride. The
other 3 would go off and (maybe again all of them) would do Owyhee100 (the best
of the three would stick there) the other two would go to Ft. Howes (with the
best one sticking there); and the forth would go do Bighorn ... (rides chosen
arbitrarily from memory and are examples only).

but the teams standings would evolve over a period of time with the final event
being VERY interesting. Also, you could have teams spread across the geography
(and take their chances by having only 1or2 team members in a given ride). but
that way, you could overcome the travel issues.

Out of the box:)

I wonder if this team riding idea would help to increase rider entries at 100
mile rides? Sounds like a fun idea, whether sanctioned or casual!
