Re: [RC] TWH - saddle fit - Truman PrevattMisty was the typical slab sided - deep heart girth TWH. However, the sides were far apart. I had a heck of a time with a saddle. I went through three or four that were suppose to fit - none did. I even had one of the TWH saddle makers from TN (whose saddle of course fit 99% of all walking horse ) send me a bare tree so I could put it on her back and look at it. The pitch was right but the points were not far enough apart so they would have dug into the wither as the saddle bridged. That's when I went to a custom saddle.Truman Lynne Glazer wrote: The Duetts aren't that expensive for the broad backed horse. Many Lipizzaner owners use them as an affordable saddle, their horses are not overly wide (13" or so in RP parlance) but very flat backed. -- “With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things.
