[RC] Freeform (to Mary K) - Barb PeckI use a Dixiemidnight pad for that reason (the real Dixie- not knock-offs) Although I have an array of pads (Skito, Supracor& Sharon Saare) - I always use the Dixie as an under pad. On a high withered horse- you can cut it back around the withers (and I always trim mine so they are the shape the pad that's over it) I have several Dixies. I wash pads now about once every 6 months instead of twice per week. Barb Mary Kraus wrote in part: Having said that, I think the equipedic pad is probably at least 1/3rd of what I like about the saddle set-up. It's truly worth the $$$. The only suggestion I have there is that they come up with "disposable" sheets of some sort to go between the pad and the horse's back so that one could keep the pad clean, longer. But that's just a lazy horse-keeper talking.... =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
