[RC] ground control - Ed Kilpatrickjody and others, gorgeous george was wearing ground control shoes on the front feet when he did the tevis. we chose to put them on the front because he would occasionally overstep and pull a steel shoe off, but if he overstepped the ground control, it was kind of like stepping on the back of a flip flop.they worked great. oh, and he had steel shoes on the back feet. i am sure there are others that used ground control shoes out there. for the lady who first asked about this, if your horse is interfering so much that he is beating his fetlocks to a bloody pulp, can you tell us more about how he is trimmed? if he is doing this while barefoot, then you may need to change the way he is being trimmed. cowboy ed
