Ditto the place where I keep mine. Just need to be sure the
place is reputable and even better maybe there is a local AERC person who could
stop in occasionally.

I've had several boarders that never visit their horses. At my
place, though, it doesn't mean they don't get good care and
loving.

I'll be away almost all the time. I want to keep a mare in that part
of the world and come out from California and ride her on vacations.
What would be nice would be a turnout with a small
herd.
