I'm a British rider competing at FEI level and broke my leg 10 weeks ago
therefore I'm still using painkillers. I was given a website address were you
can type in what you are taking and the sport you are competing at and it lets
you know what the restrictions are, The website address is http://www.uksport.gov.uk/did/ you
can type in the country you are competing for as well

yes there are doping checks on riders - and yes they
make you pee in something with an FEI doping control agent present. The
organisers have to provide a proper place to do this....
the funny thing we've had a great laugh about here in
France is that the rules state that the rider has the right to choose his or her
favourite recipient to pee in
soo... I'll let you all ponder on what recipient you
would choose haha ( Bruce I'm sure you have some ideas on this you'd want to
share with us?)
Pauline (who's happy to pee on the trail in full sight
of other riders but who'd dread doing this locked up in a small cubicle with
someone checking my aiming skills)
ps my fave treat midway during a ride is a strong cup of
coffee and two advil and a choc bar before hopping back on- feels soooo
good

"Perhaps some of the medical experts on
this board can peruse the prohibited list and comment on whether Alleve and
other medications mentioned in this thread fall into "no-no" category.
Also, would any FEI competitors comment on their personal experience at FEI
rides? Are there serious attempts at doping control? Do they
really make you pee in the cup?
:-)"
